1-2-4-8 in women's 10K. Cartwright with a phenomenal last lap and a half to finish 2nd. MTSU was 3rd (and 7th). Conference site has us down by 10 w 3 events to go. We can certainly tie MTSU in the shot put but realistically we will be shut out of 4x400 (and MTSU is seeded 3rd).

So it will take a phenomenal HJ to win the conference title (and MTSU has some high jumpers too).

Cali Roper with the win in the 5K, Abigail Cartwright for 2nd, Elsa Racasan 4th, and Katie Jensen 8th.

Hey, WRC, a number of questions.

1. Why are your numbers different from the website. Admittedly, the website has screwy numbers. why.
2. What do you think our chances are at this point.
3. How did Uke get no marks in the discus. That is looming big now.

My scores are accurate. The official scoring system, for some reason, is not including the 1500.

I hope it doesn't come down to the discus. That's a lot to dump on one person.

It's all on Belle MacFarlane (high jump) and Claire Uke (shot put). Forget the mile relay.

MacFarlane just cleared 1.78 in the HJ on the video feed. Looks like someone else just cleared the bar too (don't think it was MTSU though - looked to be a darker blue uniform). Bar to be raised again.

I believe Cutliff (FIU).

Yup it was Cutliff and she just cleared 1.81. MacFarlane will finish 2nd.

Rice currently 1-6-7 in shot put (Uke 16.31 meters) heading into finals. No MTSU finalists I believe.

Sorry. I thought it was just a simple typo. I deleted my post after seeing you mention the shot put in a later post, which appeared after I refreshed my browser.

They've delayed the women's 4x400 until 7:10 pm to let the HJ and SP end (which they both have). So MTSU will certainly know what it needs to do win the title before they begin their race. Hometown crowd may make the difference.

I do not know the results of SP and HJ, but if we got 1-6-7 in SP, and MTSU got no points, we picked up 15. Then, if we got more points than MTSU in HJ, we ought to be enough ahead.
