I wonder what changed to make them switch the design? I can’t imagine it was a money issue. The old design did look more grand.

The next improvement will be expanding the home side press box. Filling in the berm would follow. As far as the smaller expansion of the FOC I’ve heard it was to add more seats in the corners down the road.

That’s what I’ve heard as well. Adding on to the next tier expansion, they are planning to build another tower which would look well with the lodges. I wonder if they will add a store in that tower? It would be nice to have some stores for people to buy merchandises and then move the bookstore somewhere else (so that the school of engineering can have the entire lot and add a relax/tailgate area in between School of Engineering and Business).

Is there a school for engineering building? I didn’t know that. Is it new construction similar to the school of business or different?

I thought the school of engineering was moving to the research park in Bedford. This is what the school is supposed to look like:

That link was the idea for what they wanted the school to look like. Then they bought the place in New London where the engineer campus was suppose to be established. Now they are bringing the school back on campus and it’s supposed to be right next to the school of business (proposed for now). I don’t think students like the idea of going 30 minutes away from campus to go to some classes. Nonetheless, the scketches from the vmdo architecture company is still viable. It will look a little different from the other buildings but maybe that’s not a bad thing.

I like mixing up the building structure. I don't like having a cookie cutter look where everything looks the same. The renderings look pretty good!

I like that the school will be on the main campus. I don’t really like the look of the drawing.

I feel the college should be on the main campus but a majority of upper level classes at the research facility. One program that will increase academic standing quickly is engineering so I like the idea of the place in Bedford.

The campus in Bedford could possibly be for upper level courses and graduate school /research.

RE: Time to expand Williams Stadium
Capacity didn't change. The chair back seats decreased the capacity on the west side since you can't cram as many people in compared to benches but the addition of lawn seating and cabanas offset everything. I don't think there will be an appetite to add capacity for awhile.

I agree. We’ll struggle to fill what we’ve got for several years to come.

Interesting to see the difference between a bad weather and good weather home game.

RE: Time to expand Williams Stadium
It's hard to believe that's the third highest attended game since we moved up to fbs. Luckily we have two more games coming up that should top these three.
2019 vs Syracuse- 21,671
2018 vs ODU- 20,425
2022 vs Akron- 20,004
