A pause for reflection on the 5th of May
Today the manufactured holiday of Cinco de Mayo coincides mostly with the serious occasion of Yom HaShoah, a day of commemoration of the victims of the Holocaust.

I say "mostly" because YomHashoa began at sunset on May 4 and concludes at sunset on May 5.

This is actually pretty late for Yom HaShoa, which will be April 24 next year. In contrast, the date of Cinco de Mayo is fixed.
