I lost interest in the Netflix Marvel shows awhile back. I've only watched the first Punisher episode and none of Jessica Jones season 2. But I really liked Luke Cage 1 and expect I will come back for tbis one.
Did anyone else see the writers gave some thought on working the Defenders into Infinity War but passed after realizing it was too much (after all they didn't even work Hawkeye in)

I think they are trying to keep their movie and tv universes separate. I mean, no cross overs from tv into the movies and vice versa.
Overall, I think the pluses and the minuses evened out.
In non-spoiler talk here are some of my thoughts:
In S1 Shades and Cottonmouth really stood out to me with Mariah in that kind of weird #2 spot but man in S2 did she go to another level. That said, the tale of Shades, left wanting more because of how strong he was in S1.
Bushmaster was a nice idea on a villain and I really liked the back story tie in to him coming into play however I couldn't shake the fact that he reminded me of Screwface from Steve Seagal's epic masterpiece "Marked for Death."
Misty Knight had a interesting story arc.
The guest appearances from other shows felt really on point.
Claire Temple's tale was interesting and will be interesting to see how it goes from here.
The back story of the Stokes family, Bushmaster's family, and how the season long conflict came to be from where it started was interesting.
The live music at the club scenes were great and they really went around from soul, to hip hop, to reggae, to blues with some really good tunes.
The ending leading into a possible S3 I found interesting mainly because I don't know all the lore around Luke Cage.
WOW.... just WOW.... someone went back 10years for tweets after two successful Guardains movies these decade old tweets get him fired off filming GoG 3?
went back through The Defenders, Iron Fist S1, and IF's appearance in LC S2 before the new season of IF started.
In retrospect, I don't think IF S1 was as bad as I thought but I do think his broken Chi and thus his issues with summoning the IF still bug me as they didn't answer why that was so. And even if he got some additional training between that time period and the start of IF S2 it seems like now he can do it "better."
2 episodes in and I find I am surprised that they have had 3 sex scenes already. I think the martial arts action is better so far than S1. I am finding the memories of his relationship with with Davos(sp?) in Kuhn Lun very interesting. In doing a little reading up on Typhoid Mary, I am interested by her possibilities as this season progresses from where I am at.
Finished up IF S2. I liked it a lot. Much better than S1. I liked they dug into his back story with Davos. I like some of the other elements too. Not going to say too much more as to keep it spoiler free.
FWIW, I just went back through The Punisher, The Defenders, and the first two seasons of Daredevil to be up on all story points that might pop up in S3.
I have to say that Vincent kills with his Kingpin acting. Just feels like a larger than life bad ass and dangerous man.
Iron Fist gets cancelled. While I still think its the weakest of their series and I think the character in and of itself is kind of weak I did think they made a huge improvement from S1 to S2.
That's a shame, but I think all of these shows have struggled a bit beyond their first seasons and some (LC and IF) even with their first. But DD S1 was as good a TV miniseries as I've seen, superhero or otherwise. I guess the question is how much if anything gets picked up for Disney+. Defenders? If that's it, I'd be ok as long as they put some thought into it.
