OT - Favorite Whiskey
In your opinion, which bourbon/tennessee whiskey is the best for drinking neat or on the rocks? I'm looking to try something new and haven't explored much in the area of bourbon or tennessee style whiskey. I was thinking about trying a bottle of Knob Creek straight bourbon, Bulleit bourbon or George Dickel #12. My whiskey experience is mostly in the realm of scotch, irish and canadian blends.

Anyone have a preference amongst those or other brands? I've been batting the idea of the Bulleit Rye whiskey too, but thinking it would be best to stick to bourbon before venturing into a rye whiskey.

If you're a beginner, a good bargain bourbon like Evan Williams or Four Roses. Better ($) Buffalo Trace, Eagle Rare, Woodford Reserve. Even more $, Blanton's. JD is watered-down garbage now.

You can spend as much or as little as you like but there will always be Jack Daniels, always a great choice.

Since it looks like your in Huntsville now, you should go up to Lynchburg and tour the distillery. Really cool place.
