O/T: B1G Media Rights: The Rich Get Richer
and poor get poorer (and end up in a HBO Special.) Ugh!!!

http://www.freep.com/story/sports/colleg.../83278316/

Here is the bottom line on their media rights:

"Each Big Ten school, save for newbies Maryland and Rutgers, is expected to receive $40 million to $45 million per year in media rights when the new deals kick in. That figure was $20 million in 2009-10."

I was happy as a 03-drunk when the MAC media rights increased from almost nothing to say 1M / year / team in a few years.

Best we can hope for is 'trickle down' wealth. Maybe get more $ in road game guarantees, etc.
