Spring Football Game Takeaways
Looks like everything went really well. No major injuries sustained, the players looked good. Curious to see Cluley, Anderson, and Dedmon all out. We're assuming they were held out as a precaution--and if that's the case, then we're completely fine with it.

We got to see a lot of the backup QBs. We're thinking there will be a nice battle between McKee and Mosley this summer. It should bring the best out of all the QBs--which of course is a very good thing to see, as one of them will replace Cluley next season!

Below is an article of our main takeaways and highlights from this year's Spring Game. Roll Tribe Roll!

Cluley and Anderson both had recent surgeries.

RE: Spring Football Game Takeaways
The offense including the WR'S will be strong next year. A healthy Hart will help. Kuzjak rolled his ankle the week before and will be ready this fall, Dedmon will again be a huge threat everytime he catches the ball. Armstrong continues to produce as he did as a redshirt freshman, expect a big year from him. Kinder had a nice spring and a couple good catches in the game. Conlan, with a strong summer and fall camp could sneak up the depth chart, Waxter in one short week did pretty well Saturday too. It's Dedmon, Armstrong, Kuzjak, Hart, Kinder right now.

RB's are deep and strong. All three on Saturday had nice runs. Strong runs with a little burst at times.

Caskins, leads a strong TE position with Klaus, Hensley and Wilson, nice group that will be a big contibutor in both the run and pass game.

The oline did not disappoint, often opening holes in the run game Saturday. The best part is they are healty. They are the key to next season (my opinion). Their experience projects a dominant performance week in week out.

doesn't seem like the offense will be a problem.

big worry will be whether the defense can stop giving up 6+ yard runs repeatedly.

That's a fair statement. It was a spring game, so I don't think the fans should over think the positives or negatives. The offense with a number of guys out was encouraging though.

Adding to Tribefbfan, defense in spring games isn't putting in blitz packages and unusual schemes. It's pretty much offense versus defense at full speed. We have a lot of good linemen on the defensive side of the ball. I'm comfortable with that group. I want to see some kids step up at LB.

RE: Spring Football Game Takeaways
Just watched the video highlights from tribeathletics.com.

- We have top end speed out of backfield. Our ground game should be really good. Our OL and RB should lead the way.
- Mosley and Battle have strong arms. Along with McKee, we will have capable back-ups.
- We need Harvey to stay healthy because he seems to be a playmaker.
- We need DL and LB corps to step up and win the trench war.

RE: Spring Football Game Takeaways
The DB'S and safeties should be ok as well. Get Swinton back depth gets stronger. Smith has good recovery time. He was beat on the second play, didn't give up and was able to get his hand on the ball. Barta, on one play came up strong on a run play. He will have a nice year. Reed go beat on the TD, but is always around the ball forcing a fumble.

This best part of the day is we did not suffer any injuries.

Look forward to the start of fall camp and to taking on NC State!
