Orlando Pride set a NWSL attendance record on opening day with a crowd of 23,403 last month at the Citrus Bowl.

Orlando Pride next year will also play in the new Orlando City Soccer Stadium

Thats an awesome number for any match let alone a womens team. Honestly, I'd pay to see Alex Morgan play, shes a helluva talent. It'd be really cool to see FCC reach a point where they could have a womens team.

Brain fart...meant "no new parking needed", as fans will utilize downtown parking garages/Magic Parking Garages/lots, etc...

Thousands already park downtown for the games at the Citrus Bowl as they pack the bars on Orange Ave/Church St before/after games and take the scores of free shuttle buses now to Citrus Bowl.

New Stadium will be in easy walking distances from most of the downtown bar scene and parking areas.

Definitely did not.

Because it is not really a sporting event. It's more of a spectacle, like attending a concert, or going to a popular movie.

There is virtually no discussion of the actual game on the field in any local media or internet boards. No interest at all on what happens with FCC during away games.

Over 20,000 fans packed Riverbend last Wednesday night, many in the rain, just to be part of the Dixie Chicks first tour in 10 years. Everyone had a great time, danced, sang songs, imbibing adult beverages, and cheering for the entertainment. And 99% of the crowd could care less on what transpired at their next show in Cleveland.

That perfectly sums up the same experience at FCC Nippert - it's simply entertainment. Bravo!

MAN! This thread just will not go away! Props to you guys for keeping the interest going. Solid work, considering its a UC board.

I figured I'd drop by and leave some links and tips for staying up to date with FCC and all that fun stuff.

I saw away games mentioned, im assuming you'd like to know where to congregate? Glad you asked! FCC has plenty of pub partners, but Molly Malones and Rhinehaus are two of the more popular gathering spots. Usually packed to the brim and really loud for away games.

Also if youre looking for a place to talk online about it with more regularity, try out the FCCincinnati subreddit on Reddit. Match threads, pre match threads, post match threads, general discussion threads! Everything to meet your needs! Plus nearly 1,000 subscribers! r/FCCincinnati is one of the most active USL subreddits, more active than most NASL subreddits and it is also more active than the USLs main subreddit. Since the thread in the off topic board gets buried, r/FCCincinnati has more active and consistant discussion. Come join the conversation!

Also for those wanting to listen to FCC stuff, Cincy Soccer Talk does a weekly podcast that comes out every Tuesdayish! Its very high quality, usually an hour long, and has great guests on each week, sometimes players, sometimes coaches, sometimes FO people. They discuss tactics for every game played, about upcoming opponent's, and any other FCC related topic. Cincy Soccer Talk can be downloaded on iTunes, Stitcher, or wherever podcasts can be found! If you're a podcast guy, and have evwn remote interest in soccer (which you guys clearly do! 03-wink )then i highly recommend this podcast.

I love seeing this thread jump to the top so i can answer all these great questions! Who knows, if this thread just fell to the wayside, it may have just been forgotten about by now! Nice work fellas!

Sorry, but don't consider posts that compare Mapfre to a Walmart parking lot as insightful. Or this gem, "...against a team in which im not sure what state they reside."

I'm sure the podcasts rival the boys in the basement reflecting on the new Chewbacca, or the recent viral sensation Chewbacca Mom.

Hey, no worries bud, didnt think youd be interested! Just passing along some info since this thread is so popular. The podcast guy also does a fairly popular Bengals podcast, seems to know what he's doing. To each their own though. :)

Whats a Chewbacca Mom? Is that part of the old Christmas special? Never and will never see it. Ive been told avoiding it is the best route to take.

As a side note, if anyone is buying tickets for the match against Montreal next week, if you use the code LIBRARY16, the Hamilton County Library gets 20% of the proceeds.

What do you think I am, a Bernie-loving soccer hooligan? The library won't be getting $2.80 from the $14 I scraped together from my mother's basement.

Considering the nationalistic and racist behavior of soccer hooligans, I figured they'd be more Trump-lovers.

I guess Rag and i hang around different circles. I've been incredibly impressed with the amount of intelligent soccer talk about fcc. Like all sports there is a casual fan it's the thing phenomenon but plenty of hardcore, break everything down types too.

Ahhh man! How could i forget!? I should mention that for away games, Mecklenburg Gardens is also apparently usually packed. One of the SGs pregames there for home games as well.

There are a few other options as well that are a little less jam packed if you dont want the larger crowds. :)

Anyway, how bout the USMNT? Tough loss. Why Pulisic and Nagbe arent starting is beyond me. Also... Bradley... come on man.

Oh and hey! Who is going to the game tonight?! Im betting most of you are going, you racist rapists you! 03-wink Im actually going to miss this one. The Mrs has a family gathering i couldnt weasel out of. Already had a couple of family members text and ask if i can put the channel the game is on when i get there though, so it wont be a total loss tonight!
