I think it was more a "stay out of our yard" to the Big 10 from the SEC.

Interesting that C-USA voted to keep the camps

The G5s were the schools where Ohio State and Michigan were hosting these camps. I think the idea was just to get kids on campus and pickup the ones that couldn't make it at the big northern schools.
