UofM coaches and officials had better keep on their toes - our fans are going to be needing a new scapegoat. I don't support coaches - they come and go - I support the Blue & Gray.

Oh yea, like we are the only fan base that has done that. UAB should talk.

Let's hope they hire someone with D1 head coaching experience and not another AAU or former high school coach. I like Penny, but I don't want him to ruin his reputation trying to fill the vacancy, until he gets some experience under his belt at least as an assistant college coach. I think if he was really interested in the job, he would assist whomever is selected as head coach and learn so he could take over in the future the next time we have a vacancy.

I don't think that's a fair or correct assessment.

Cal: people generally loves him...well, his wins anyway (he was still a huge arsehole)...but felt he gave us all a huge middle finger on his way out and burned his bridges as he left.

Pastner: people wanted him to win...to live up to the promise he was supposed to have. When it became obvious he wouldn't, we wanted to move on. I don't think many hate him, we just felt it was time to move on.

I have no real ill will towards Calipari post-Memphis because I never liked him much in the first place.

I'm glad he's at a place where I can hate two things at once.

I still like the guy that won 30 games 4 years in a row and went to 4 straight sweet 16s , 3 straight elite 8s and 1 championship game.

I still like the guy in the 80s who went to 4 straight sweet 16s and a final four

I still like the guy from the late 80s and early 90s who went to 2 sweet 16s and 1 elite 8

I still like the guy in the early 70s who went to the national champ game even though he left after 4 years

Excuse me if I don't like a guy who didn't come anywhere close to that post season success and pretty much trashed the fan base, the players and the media while refusing to look in the mirror
