Yep. Getting paid to be a president does not make you a Duke. He did it for the prestige and the money and he has done nothing to tap himself into the real JMU, most likely because he's socially inept and doesn't know how to get a feel for stuff like that. I once heard him speak and I literally couldn't stop cringing the entire time. This is coming from someone labelled an "apologist" on the boards. I wanted to like him. But he's just such a... dingleberry.

Geez, people.

As a university employee, I think work-life balance and general morale at the university have improved under Alger. I don't agree with all his decisions, but this thread is unnecessary. Name calling by adults is pointless.
