I wish Idaho the best but frankly, I don't see how all of this locker room "F-the-Sun Belt" crap the Vandals are spewing recently over the non-renewal is going to help them win a conference game. If anything, I can see it backfiring on them pretty badly. Not even sure it'll help them get an invite to a more fitting conference come to think of it. I guess we'll see though <shrug>

It does seem a little silly but if it works as a catalyst to motivate the team and encourage the fan base then it will be worth it for them. Having success in conference and perhaps making a bowl in the next two seasons is what they need and what will help them look better to recruits and perhaps other conferences.

i seriously couldn't help but laugh out loud at these-"belts are made to support...some belts are poorly made"...I can't even. ???

While as a detached fan I understand and accept the Sun Belt's decision I hope the players are taking it personally. Motivation helps, and we actually have the horses to compete this year. I want those guys to take their rejection out on some conference teams.

Now if our own university's president would stop constantly undermining this attitude and actually support football, that would be nice.

I'm sorry, but I think this was just completely ludicrous. It felt like watching a young couple breaking up and one of them going back and saying, "Oh, I never liked them anyways." While I know this is supposed to build their fan support and momentum on the field, I think there were better ways to do that than saying, "Some belts are poorly made," which was an obvious jab at the Sun Belt. Don't blame the rest of the Sun Belt for your internal problems.

See, my thinking is this: The Sun Belt gave Idaho a lifeline. The Sun Belt kept Idaho from falling into oblivion. Had it not been for the Sun Belt extending Idaho a football-only membership, I believe Idaho would be back in the FCS after spending a few years barely skating by as an FBS independent. Teams like BYU and Notre Dame can make it and sustain as an independent. Teams like Idaho will struggle, as they aren't in a hotbed for talent and they don't excite the average fan. If Idaho wants to take a jab at anybody, they should look within their own house for where they went wrong. The Sun Belt was not Idaho's forever home, but Idaho is acting like the spoiled kid who just got rejected to play on the first string of the football team.

I agree with this. I think most Idaho fans agree with this. There's been very little vitriol toward the conference on the Idaho board. But I want the players to be pissed off at the Sun Belt and everyone associated with it and wanting to prove something. Whatever motivates them to go out and win some games is fine with me.

Well, let's see . . . . The Sun Belt is kicking Idaho to the curb . . So the Vandals strike back with a motivational video for the upcoming season that takes a shot at the conference . . . .

Well how the hell did everyone expect them to react? All warm and fuzzy?
It ain't like they owe the conference any kind of loyalty . . .

If it's how they need to "get up" for the coming campaign, I've got no problem with it.

And if many here see them as "bitter," Well, I can hardly blame Idaho for that . . .

I suspect that if the shoe were on the other foot, many decrying Idaho's video would be screaming pretty loudly themselves . . .

I didn't see the F the Sun Belt part I think it might be directed at the Boise media .
Yeah fans are upset but not with the Sun Belt .
We have had to read a lot of negative crap on here since we got invited to join.
I really don't think Idaho fans have been overly sensitive.
I learned real fast to always refer to ULL as Louisiana even though I could care less.

Maybe the video department wants to stay in FBS?
One thing that never gets talked about we moved up to join the Big West.
There is to many teams in the SBC's area for it to go away .
But I think fans should try to imagine if they were stranded like us and NMSU.
