Stupid 3-4

All alignments work with the right personnel and execution. The rationale' was that it was easier to find kids with a high ceiling at LB than at DT/DE at our level. I think it just didn't prove to be true.

I think the "rationale" was that Withers loves the 3-4 in spite of it not working for his teams. He is still pushing the same system at FBS level with Texas St.

I saw absolutely nothing wrong with the article. Some pot stirring going on here. It is absolutely fine to be good at your position without being great. He is a solid qb. Does lots of things well; not spectacularly. Super Bowls are won with adequate qb's, just like this past year with an aging Peyton manning. Just don't make unforgivable mistakes.

If Bryan did anything exceptional he'd probably not be at JMU.

Darn you beat me to it! It doesn't take a high FB IQ to see that Bryan is a very solid QB with a whole lot of room to grow.

Yeah he pretty much embodies Einstein's quote “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results” with forcing the 3-4. He wasn't willing to adjust.
