What's Inma Up To
Apparently writing some, here's a short article she wrote for The Cauldron entitled "Broken Dreams and Final Buzzers"
https://thecauldron.si.com/broken-dreams....3mgzwstba

Also, came across this video chat she participated in talking about what it's like for a foreign athlete to come to the US to play college sports.
https://blab.im/i2oyea

It's an hour long, and Inma's participation is only here and there.
She did recount her story about how she chose Toledo talking about how she saw a picture of a full Savage from the WNIT finals, and said "I was like, yep, I'm going there."

Great find. Inma completely captures that feeling when your college career ends. A very palpable sense of loss. She writes beautifully.

RE: What's Inma Up To
She tried to get a graduate assistant for the women's basketball team but there wasn't one available. There is a chance she could get one in the in graduate business program. Let's hope she stays in Toledo. She will spend some time in England then return to Toledo for graduate school.

Article really captures the feeling of playing your last game. Excellent. I wouldn't expect less from Inma.

Should would make a great coach. Hope she gets a shot at UT.

My understanding is she was not happy with the team she played on. Decided to return to Toledo to complete a masters program.

She seems a bit lost. Hopefully she finds her legs somewhere. Good person and great athlete.

(not sure if serious?)

If writing and novels are her interest and there's certainly reason to see they could be, then being "lost" is a good way to find the muse. She not cloistered up. She's out experiencing life.

I was trying to be facetious but it did not come across that way. I'm actually quite impressed with her writing ability.

I think her last paragraph sums it up nicely. It you are totally prepared but opportunity never knocks, then that is "bad luck" and not your fault. But if you are not prepared when opportunity knocks then that is your fault. Being prepared to answer the call if opportunity knocks is "good luck". The phrase "the harder you work the luckier you get" has some truth to it but you can also work very hard and never get lucky as well.

RE: What's Inma Up To
Inma's latest work is producing a movie about her heritage, in which she plans to run a marathon - in the Sahara desert! Wow. She's crowd funding the project. See the details here:

She get bit by a scorpion, it's your fault.

If my ancestors were from the Sahara, I'd be putting out the CO2, getting them some water front property to rest in before I'd go visiting. But good luck to her.

This young woman is going to make a splash in this world, far beyond basketball where she’ll be a HOFer in a couple years.
