La Tech, how do you do you count?
Your official site reports a record softball attendance of 1927 at your 30-8 loss yesterday to LSU. The release states your bleachers were packed, about 450, with the rest or about 1500 being able to view the game from the hill beyond right field fence. That is a public right of way area, actually not a hill but an embankment for West Alabama St, Hwy 150, and not included as part of your softball field. Since one would not need a ticket to walk by or drive up and park out there I wonder how your officials count that group of people. Its just like your baseball stadium being able to utilize the area beyond its right field fence, how do they count fans out there when its mostly railroad property and not a part of the stadium? Inquisitive minds would like to know.

Oh joy, Mr. Idiot makes another asinine post about Tech. Those of you on this board have no idea how the fact this fool claims to be a USM fan depresses me. Please just know, he in no way resembles any true USM supporter I have known over the last 40 years.

Whats wrong with wondering how a school assimilates fans from outside its venue into its "attendance" when those "fans" obviously never stepped one foot inside the stadium nor did they buy a ticket. If Tech did not flaunt those artifiical numbers then no problem. Why not be honest and simply say "we had 450 show up, probably our highest attendance for the year so far.

What's wrong with it? Nothing, in a vacuum, but you bang that drum pretty relentlessly.

That is about the most ignorant and useless question I have ever heard anyone ask.

Observant people with sharp minds could ask a lot of "ignorant and useless" questions about some of the fluff and puff published out of Dogpatch.

It is an "ignorant and useless" question because you are asking people that wouldn't know how to answer it. Call the softball folks at Tech.
