It’s long been my theory that Minnesota “progressives” – especially here in the Twin Cities – are incapable of understanding the clear and present danger Islamic terrorism presents on a local level. For Minnesota “progressives” their entire life is a “safe space” right on the edge of a chasm.

They grow up in progressive families, then go on to 12 years of public education run by and for progressives. Then 4-8 years at a hyper-liberal St. Olaf or a Macalester, all theses years of growing up in an environment where frank discussion about Islam, and the local Somali Islamic community, is treated as a villain in a silent-picture melodrama. No realistic debate is tolerated.

Then these same progressives go on to careers in academia, public education, non-profits, or public sector unions, where people marinade in unquestioned “progressivism” for decades without a break, willfully ignoring Islamic terrorism and the other realities of Islam so anethema to liberals.

Another? I guess I missed which country they currently rule.

Has anyone else noticed how quite the MSM has been on anything going on in the middle East the last month or so ? I'm sure there hasn't been a let up on the terrorists part. Must be the MSM doesn't want to call attention away from the primaries and debates.
