Matt Brady fired
It is possible he could be living in New Jersey and have a 45 minute commute to Philly.
He is sure to be ripped to shreds by an "Explorerman" of their fanbase.

So you're saying that Anywhere Town, NJ perhaps is the rough equivalent of Crozet? Dukeman could have a field day with that.

I think there are plenty of good Catholic schools around Philly.

They've also got a three star freshman coming in and a 7-1 center. They also have two lesser transfers. Already on board was a touted transfer from Auburn.

Lot of folks to gel at once and share the ball but the red shirt years should help and I'm sure that Brady will be a big asset. One of the transfer is named BJ Johnson from Syracuse- he was the subject of some humor last year when I suggested JMU as a landing place.

The A-10 is a very tough conference with some really good programs- will be interesting to watch the hand shake line when LaSalle plays Dayton.

Don't fret it it 83 there A$$ holes on the board who love to make everything negative F them... Good place for Matt he will do well and so will the school these negative ass holes can kiss my rear end....A good landing spot to spring board to a new HC. They made there comment knowing nothing about LaSalles program showing there ignorance and just trying to be negative commentators... Maybe it was Jeff Bounre or that jack A$$ king. Both I hope are counting coins for there termination when we get a real president. Go Dukes. Go Matt Brady. Go Kenny Brooks. Go Lou Rowe. Go Coach O. Screw the haters.

If you know anything about where LaSalle is, I don't think Brady will be living anywhere too close to campus.

After-Timeout Efficiency King, Outside Major Conferences: Matt Brady, James Madison
The No. 4 team in adjusted ATO efficiency—and No. 1 outside of the major conferences—was a surprise: James Madison, which finished 123rd in overall offensive efficiency. The Dukes weren’t a killer offensive team in the halfcourt, but Brady found ways for them to get good looks, including plenty of open threes, in ATO situations. Brady did not get an appropriate reward for his efficient play-calling and 21–11 record, however: He was fired on March 14 after the conclusion of his eighth season at JMU.

Someone ask Lou if his goal is to win this award after this season... "First-Year Coach Who Vowed To Play Uptempo, Actually Did It—And Did It Well: Linc Darner, Green Bay"

RE: Matt Brady fired
Considering most coaches who claim uptempo don't actually play faster, and Rowe already mentioned he wouldn't be able to do 100% in year 1 until he got more of his guys in, wouldn't count on it.

Watched the Villanova LaSalle (Big 5) game last night on ESPN2. The game was played at the Palestra and LaSalle played with Villanova until the end before losing by 10. Saw Brady next to Gianni on the bench. At times you could tell he was a former head coach by how involved he was with officials and in timeouts etc. LaSalle is now 4-3 and the A-10 has struggled thus far in terms of big OOC wins so the Explorers will likely have to finish high in the standing in conference or win the Conference Tournament to get into the NCAAs (VCU, Dayton and URI look to be their 3 thus far) but maybe an NIT bid will keep Gianni on the sideline and keep Brady there for another season. The LaSalle team definitely has some talent with several transfers. They could hit their stride over the next 1 or 2 and make a run and that could help Brady get back on the sideline as a head coach.

Thought the same thing while watching the game. Towards the end of the game, with about 2-3 minutes left and only down 6, you could see him on the court calling for a timeout. Definitely not typical assistant coach behavior. I think I'm adopting LaSalle as my team this year.

Earlier in season, I was watching their temple game and he drew up the last play in regulation, kid hit a 3 and sent game to overtime. Always good to have a former hc as top assistant. Matts a good man and I wish him nothing but the best.

A LaSalle booster and former player who knows Giannini well told me last week that he did not expect Giannini to coach too much longer (his decision - isnt teh type of guy who wants to coach until he dies) and the expectation was that Brady was the heir apparent at LaSalle. FWIW.
