RE: Selection Sunday 2016
I see Ingram as Duke's most talented player and a guy that can take over the game on the boards, scoring inside on the drive, shooting the ball and on the break. I am not convinced that UNCW can press Duke to any real success,Coach K has some time to study the film and get prepared. Get Plumlee in foul trouble, might work but not against UNC. I think you have to get either Allen or Ingram off the floor to have a real chance.

Ingram hasn't been able to hit water if he fell out of a boat the last 2 weeks. and he weighs a buck 70 soakin wet. I don't see him killing anyone on the boards. his rebounding numbers are respectable, but nothing we have not seen

That means he's due to have a career game. With our luck. No, I think it boils down to what the officials will and will not call. We need to be able to play our style without being punished for it.

Oh there will be fouls. Count on it. Gotta keep throwing bodies at them. Gotta believe at some point the zebras will stop blowing their whistles (though it is duke, so maybe not). The point of the press is to make them work harder for everything, whether you get steals or not. You are trying to make fatigue a factor for a team with virtually no bench, that currently plays anyhow. Same goes for if they take Ingram or Allen out. You need to make some sort of run so they are forced to keep them in the game at all times, further wearing them down.

Where has UNCW seen anyone like Brandon Ingram? This guy is likely the #2 overall pick in the NBA draft. There is no CAA player in the last 20 years any where close in talent to this kid. Don't think for a second that UNCW could not be torched by this guy,6-10 guard with 7-4 wingspan. I think they need a plan to take him out of the game. I know UNCW likes to play the mug game but against Duke I don't see it working. I have to think Coach K will be in the refs hard right from the start.

Mug game? Really? Crawl back under your rock. We've done nothing muggish compared to Greyson Allen.

I do agree that Ingram will be very difficult for us.

Ingrams season high in points was 26, and season high in rebounds was 14. Good, but not dominating. He doesn't seem like the type that takes over games.

That's because he weighs a buck 70 soaking wet. He's the second pick on the draft based on what he will be in 5 years, not what he is now!
