AAC commissioner expects Big 12 expansion to be settled soon 3/10/2016
I'm not sure if this article has been posted yet, but it explains that there should be a settlement about BIG XII expansion in May or early June. I know this is repetitive but "..some of the rumored expansion candidates include several schools from the AAC like Cincinnati, Connecticut, Memphis, UCF and USF."

You know, if relegation was a thing and the NCAA enforced the 15k min requirement, we'd be looking at FCS conferences?

I wonder if the numbers for the incorrect UNLV game would save our bacon for a year...

Probably more than half of the g5 would be looking at fcs if that was the case haha. I hope there's a better method to scan or count people that do attend games because I remember watching that UNLV game and it did seem like the attendance was higher than what was recorded.

oh man, relegation makes me salivate like a pavlov dog. if only...
you want real competition? pair each one of the G5's with a P5 in their same area.

Hypothetically speaking:
ACC >> AAC
BIG 10 >> MAC
BIG 12 >> CUSA
PAC-12 >> MWC
SEC >> Sun Belt

In this quality of teams don't matter, because a few years in things will even out. Perennial bottom dwellers get four years to stay out of the bottom two conference spots. To keep the P5 teams happy, teams can't move up unless a spot is opened up.
......

But if we are talking about relegation based on attendance, then EMU might be the only team safe, because they report numbers twice what their stadium can hold. ;-)

My semi educated guess from being at that game is NIU under reported attendance by 3-4k. I think that happened at other games too, just not to the same extent. Looking at the increase in ticket revenue compared to the decline in attendance is proof. Sure, they added the end zone club and a few other higher end options, but I don't think those options sold very well, especially the End Zone Club after people realized the $125 did not include booze.

I love your idea. I will use all the pull that I have in NCAA football to make it happen. That adds up to 0, but I can still give you moral support. Here's a smiley.
