I'm looking forward to an improved schedule next season.

On another note, SFA had just as difficult time scheduling as UAB did this season. They did play Baylor, Northern Iowa, and Arizona State, and lost all three games. They also had to play FOUR non-D1 schools, because nobody would schedule them. Now that they have knocked out West Virginia, I suspect their schedule next season will be similar to this season's schedule.

BTW, SFA now has a Pomeroy rating of 24.

Their scheduling non conference doesn't matter because they dominate their conference. Didnt they average like 18 points a win?

I BELIEVE that our two present major men's sports HCs are POTENTIALLY the best UAB has had in its short history. Neither has proven that status at this time, but if provided the competitive facilities they have asked for, they just might deserve future accolades. Time will tell, not our opinion of individual coach's plusses and minuses.

That kind of discussion reminds me of other state schools where they STILL fuss about Terry Bowden, Cliff Ellis, Sonny Smith,Tommy Tubberville, Mike Shula, Winfrey Sanderson, the coach now at NC State, etc. It is still a good PR policy that if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all -- particularly in a personal vein. UAB needs us to be better than that.

The most memorable thing about this season is Ray Harper calling out Haase and kicking his Haase in Birmingham.
