Looking at the picture of Cole Tucker I feel really, really old. The kid looks like he is nine years old. Good for him.

RE: 2017 Official Verbal Thread
I noticed he is a southpaw so the ball will be coming out with a different spiral for the receivers to catch. He looks to be a good get from the video. I might add the camera work at his high school for the video was awful.

Looks to be a fine get by our staff, making up a bit for the loss of the Oregon St. QB, which was needed.

Cass Tech is a big pipeline for D1 players. Would be nice to get our foot in the door.

Guess we'll have to get all new football players then.

I think it more than makes up. You got a kid just out of the top 50, Midwest...big city....Detroit...heart of MAC Country and he chose us over them. He wants to come here.

School has been pretty successful for inner city. Couple titles, lot of pros in the past. Ton of entertainers/musicians.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cass_Techn...igh_School

Hopefully he signs and comes to DeKalb. Or does he have another standout season, get more and better offers?

The cool thing about this is that the kid already had 5 offers (including an ACC offer) and committed to us almost right after us offering. From his interview it looks like he committed for all the right reasons. Love the for w our offense, loves the coaches and has an opportunity to compete for the job early. I think he will stick for us

He does appear to have committed to NIU for good reasons, so I think he sticks with us also. With his size (currently listed at 6'3" and 215) and skills I agree that he will compete for the starting QB job early, and would not be surprised if he did as a true freshman. Yes, it is a long haul until next fall and you never know how any player will do at the next level, but I would not be surprised if he competes for the job in his true freshman year. I wonder if it would have been different if Collins did not decide to stay at Oregon State?

If you had seen how some of the backup Quarterbacks performed during the spring practices you would understand. They need to load up on talent at the position before it's too late.

Kane tweeted that the 816 is coming to the 815. 816 is Kansas City, so pretty sure it is Dillon Thomas.
