Sounded like the team is motivated to show the the league office who is the real POY.
Coach after the game said they will not need any motivation for this game.
I love that fire, but I hope they stay focused on the big mission.

RE: ODU V LATech
ODU played LT only once this season, but it was memorable. The Monarchs beat the Bulldogs 56-53 on Jan. 7, and not only did they break the Bulldogs then 2nd longest home winning streak in the country, they also handed them their first ever home CUSA loss.
Trey Freeman scored 21, and Aaron Bacote 17. Brandan Stith was still recovering from his early season injury and finished with only 2 points, but he managed 8 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Zoran Talley, who was still finding his way, finished with 5 points, on 1-5 shooting, and 2 free throws.
The Monarchs out-rebounded the Bulldogs 36-35, and out-shot them 41.8% to 34.6%, with LT hitting 8 of 24 three pointers.
Obviously both teams have matured well over the course of the season, but ODU has finally started to add a balanced scoring dimension which they had lacked until the last five games or so.
My pick...
ODU - 68 LT - 60
GO MONARCHS!!!

I'll go for us by five, with two of those points being foul shots. It will be a closely-contested game throughout and Trey Freeman will have an integral role.

Not sure who that is but it seems right to me. Just gotta come with some calm FIRE. Starts on the defensive end and rebounding with this Monarch squad. Just play YOUR game Monarchs!

ODU/LT basketball games are ones that I have grown to look forward to. The back and forth on these boards and the emotion from the teams draw me in. I hope we stomp the Dawgs and show them the game earlier this year wasn't a fluke

I just wish that I shared your confidence. I don't. I think either team is capable of outplaying the other over any given 40 minutes, and I expect my blood pressure to be elevated right up to the final horn.

Gotta stay out of foul trouble. We're just not that deep.
If we do that, we'll win.
