"Higher seeds such as UAB, La Tech and MTSU"... lets just leave out the #3 seed in cusa tourney. Anyway, it doesnt matter, being seeded 15th or 14th, its gonna take a huge upset to win the first tourney game. Anyone from cusa is a one and done in the tourney, almost certainly.

"....have solid records" Well you have to them out if you want the rest of the sentence to make sense.

What is the #3 seed's overall record? I thought so.

And I assume everyone thought CUSA's representative would be one and done last year as well.

Maybe the article should have said, of the top 4 seeds, the overall records are the inverse of their OOC strength of schedule.

Some fans in this conference are hilarious. They put down Marshall football because we get gaudy records "because you don't play anybody" then they turn around and tout their record when they play an OOC schedule ranked around 300 in basketball. Marshall's OOC SOS was 15th this year and they played it without Elmore.

When Marshall played the same common opponents as our conference brethren only two teams managed a better conference record and we played the second hardest conference schedule. So put the records in context like you are wont to do with football just to be consistent.

Actually I'm a big fan of Marshall basketballs improvement. The fact is of the top 5 seeds in the tournament they would be seeded the lowest. Next year should be a different story if they stay healthy. And I wouldn't brag to much about their out of conference SOS yet. Have a solid basketball program for a couple years and see who is still willing to play you.

It all depends on the draw...anything is possible at tournament time
