FGCU sure got some good exposure beating up FDU on national TV in the First Four at Dayton (excellent crowd). That might be a better slot for a mid-major to land in than being a 16 going up against a 1 in the next round.

Yes, but each round pays at a different level, and a win in the first four pays a lot less than a win in the first round. Sure, it's better than no win (and no money) though.

No.. every round pays the same unit, $260,525, the difference is you get paid a unit for each win on a rolling 6 years, so if you are an elite team you get $$$$
Florida Gulf Coast made it bit over a half million, I assume it goes to the ASun to be split up someway.
