Personally I think conventional wisdom has made it such a non starter that it's never been looked at. I mean the raiders didn't even want to share a stadium with the 49ers. Everyone wants what everyone else has: their own digs. I just wonder if it would solve the problem, especially the unique problem here of only having one useful plot of land.

I just hope the public isn't fleeced. If they get a publicly financed stadium, it should be done through rental car sales and hotel taxes, not by taking money from the public otherwise. Not that native people don't use both.

If they can do that for a billion to a billion or so, split between two teams, both can be made happy, and the city can make it work.

The difference in size for a basketball court and a hockey rink is much bigger than the difference in size between football and baseball. Again I know it's not ideal, but with he raiders not needing near as big a stadium as most NFL teams, I think it could be done.

I think this is the answer for Oakland. Think about the new Tottenham stadium. It will have an independent field for football that rolls over the soccer field

For Oakland I would leave Mt Davis as the primary football seats and one of the baseline grandstands. I would construct the baseball clubhouse and seats for the other baseline from there with either movable or collapsible seats for football

The raiders would have their own field that would roll in and out

I think a lot of this work could be done while teams still use by demo of the areas in the baseball outfield corners for clubhouse construction and then play a year in SF / Santa Clara to finish up

Why can't Populous or HKS or HOK come up with a plan

They both want the Colesium site with tailgating important.

That tells me they need a plan

I say again, abandon Oakland. There's not much revenue to generate there, even with a new stadium. Just my opinion.
