All I had to go by was the feed on the official site, but it appears our defensive effort was good. We held them to 39% overall and 33% from the arc. But we got hammered on the boards by 12, and our turnover advantage (2) was not enough to make that up.

Time to go home, get our focus sharp, let our emotions rest, and get ready for the Second Season.

I think they killed us on second chance points. When you force a team to miss a shot, you have to get the rebound. If they get it under the basket, in most cases, they're either going to get a layup or you'll foul someone. Just can't give up offensive rebounds. That tells me our legs were tired last night. Thankfully we have to time to get our bodies and our minds healed and be ready for a tournament in. That would be historic for us, since we've never won the league and tournament championship in the same season.

I think Newell did it once or twice. But that was a different league.

I guess I was referring to the Sun Belt. I consider that to be the modern era of Trojan basketball. The rest is like Pre Donald Trump politics!
