Let's just assume out. That was extremely nasty. Best case--sprain; next case, both bad, ligament or break. We are not going anywhere with Zelis. If we play Toledo, Boothe will eat him up. Not that Maric was going to lead up to any promised land, but of all, due to depth at that position, it's probably the worst guy we can lose. And, since the season is maybe two games left, I would guess we are done seeing him this year. I hope for other news, but common sense needs to take over.

That's not guaranteed.

Dekalb222 said there was a chance he could play Friday. My guess is we don't see him for Friday or Monday but would if NIU gets to Cleveland

I feel bad for the guy. I love watching him play, he brings an enthusiasm to the game and I like watching him try to rev up the crowd. For a big guy he has a nice touch and if he keeps getting stronger, he will be a force to recon with in the coming seasons. I know he has some good nights and some bad ones but he has more on nights than off and we are a much more competitive team with him than without. It just seems like playing the game brings him joy and that is so fun and refreshing to watch.

RE: Maric
He will definitely be a better player with a deeper supporting cast. Maric is not a guy to carry a team, I think that's when he gets into trouble when he tries to do too much

Tomorrow isn't guaranteed either but there is a very good chance NIU will play after the MAC Tourney. I would put it at 90% they play minimum of three more games. I have no idea on Marics status.

Even if they played Miami at home Monday, I dont think you could put that as a 90% win right now.

I would guess statistically NIU would have a 55-60% chance to beat Toledo or EMU at home, about 65% chance to beat WMU at home, and about 70% chance to beat Miami at home.

Maddawg, I said a 90% chance they play a minimum of three more games. Friday, Monday and I believe they will be in a post season tournament regardless of the outcome of those two games.

There's literally no reason to play him Friday and hope he can turn around and play on Monday. Rest him up and hope he can go Monday

It's a sprain, the announcer said on TV that he talked to Maric and he said he's about "60 percent" and they are treating it aggressively and hopes to play Monday

Good to hear Maric has a chance to play Monday and a very positive outlook if NIU were to advance to Thursday.

In terms of this Ball State game, you just have to get Orris off the court, I hate to harp on this all the time.
