Could also be that there is a change of heart on the CCG? So if you are implementing a CCG (since UI and NMSU are still in the conference for 2 years and still can hold one with 10 members.) then that would be a reason to hold off on the football schedule since the CCG would rework the conference schedule. ESPN must have made a decent offer to have the Sunbelt hold one.

From what I gather, ESPN doesn't have to make a "decent offer" for Karl to accept it.

Only way league president is on the teleconference for TV is if it is a blockbuster announcement but so far no conference has reopened negotiations without it leaking.

This is a 14 Saturday season and we know that league schedule is already hung up presumably because of GaSo-GaTech needing to be moved so adding a title game last minute this season seems like a really long shot.

I'd bet a title game which would be the only reason to hold a conference call and delay the football schedule. A game between GaSO and Tech isn't cause for a conference call or delay of football schedule.

Maybe we postponed so we could be the last FBS conference schedule released. It is down to us and Mountain West, and last year they released on the 2nd.

I don't believe it is the Georgia Southern - Georgia Tech date switch that is holding up the schedule.

In regards to the Press Conference, I doubt it is anything earth shattering. It makes zero sense to address Idaho/NMSU unless something was about to be leaked and they want to be out in front of it.

Karl has decided to run 3rd party for President.

Platform being that everyone in the US will be the next Boise State.

For him to suddenly flip flop either his sources finally just got to him or their is something really screwy is going on In this situation

If we do boot, I will be interesting to see the reaction out of Arkansas State. It's been well known up here that we are completely in favor of keeping Idaho/NMSU, and don't want to be a part of a 10 team league.

Oh joy...something exciting happening today! Let's go with JSU to the sunbelt...lol
