WMU cheerleader video
Band, cheerleaders, and dance teams put in a lot of time to enhance the atmosphere of athletics at Western.
Here is a video...very long...but still depicts practices, basketball and football footage, and individual pics of these unheralded athletes.
I can't even do a forward roll, so I am very grateful to all the them for their dedication. However, I have a very accurate mid-range jump shot.

RE: WMU cheerleader video
Many Moons ago No donned the Brown and Gold. Cheered 3 years, traveled around the country, made a lot of friends.
Former room mate of mine Mark O'Malley, WMU HOF Gymnast got some of his buddies to kick in during football to do the lifts, catches and tumbling. Then when Coach Fred Orlofsky said, "back in the gym" they'd stop their sideline antics and back to High Bar, Pommel Horse, trampoline, Parallel bars and Free Ex in the north end of Gary.
In the mid-70's Buster was a ceramic/plexi-glass horse head that weighed about about 40 lbs and stood 4' high. Think of the Milwaukee Brewers sausage races in MLB. But 40 lbs heavy. I cant remember the guy who wore it on his shoulders, had it strapped under arm pits and across his chest. Was a music major getting credit or something. Dude lost 10 lbs of water a game in sweat even on a chilly afternoon FB game. Not allowed in Read.
