UAB won CUSA (excuse me CUAB ) with 2 more games on the schedule

It's so feast or famine when you're a jump shooting team. I understand that they try to use their tempo as leverage, but that poor a percentage from three will lose them the game every time since they all in on offense.

I'm pretty proud of the guys. Last season was really tough, and this record is the fruit of tough times in the past. No matter how down the conference is, winning on the road is still pretty tough and they managed to keep the home streak alive. Winning the regular season is cool, but it's all about finishing strong and making it back to the NCAA tournament.

Mike Anderson won a share of the regular season title. I think it was 2006, when it was a 5-way tie.

I think it has more to do with the quantity of 3pt shots Marshall took - ONLY 24. They took 34 vs UAB and, I think, they avg around 30. Add to that the fact that Marshall was down late and probably jacking up 3's to catch up. If this is true MTSU really guarded the 3 pt shot well and also shot it well(I don't think they normally shoot that many -21- either).

It has never been more difficult to win on the road than this year. I think I heard a stat that this year top 5 teams have lost close to 40 times the most in recent recollection. UAB setting a team record for conference road wins(did they?) is significant...

The home team in C-USA has won 75 of 113 (66.4%) conference games. That ranks 6th in the country. The SEC leads at 72.3%.

I was really hoping to avoid playing Marshall until the finals.
