Yes the team’s leading scorer comes off the bench and is the only player that averages more than 10 points a game. You understand why the team’s average of 58.5 ppg is at the bottom of the league. They do play solid defense and will want to keep the game low scoring. Despite being called the Roadrunners, they really don’t want a track meet.

Bottom line: ODU is going to win this game
Because they need to win this game.
Because they have to win this game.

Final Score. UTSA 70. ODU 67. Four roadrunners score double digits and for ODU Simms finishes the game with 39 (!) points and 5 boards. Young is the second leading scorer on the team with 8 points (5 boards). Ajemba has 10 boards and 2 points.

The bad news: ODU will finish the regular season with a record below .500.

The good news: Marshall lost today 79-73 and North Texas beat SMU 57-55. Which means ODU is still in the sixth seed for the first round playoff bye and two home games left.

Strong game by Simms. But disappointing ending for the LM.
