I wonder if this was voted upon or if it was an arbitrary decision made by someone in the league office. Regardless, its a completely incompetent decision and there's absolutely zero logic to it. If the purpose is to make the games as neutral as possible by eliminating any type of crowd advantage, we may as well move the tournament to somewhere like Boise.

Archer said it was the coaches that made decision. Gives top seed more rest. Takes home court crowd away from home city host.

No. Many other mid major or lower major conferences want to earn as much revenue as possible from the conference tourneys. There are some conferences that play their tournaments AT the home arena of the number 1 seed. CUSA has screwed the pooch in my opinion.

Was our "home court advantage" really that big of a deal last year??

RE: C-USA Tournament tickets -- where are your seats?
If it was the coaches who voted, it makes sense. Every coach but one would want their team to have rest. Only one coach would see a greater competitive advantage to have a bigger crowd than more rest. I imagine the vote was 13-1.

Coaches care about competitive advantage not making money for the conference.

It will also balance lit the crowds. More will attend the early sessions and thee ending sessions will draw because theyre in the evenings.

Our guys get to sleep in their own beds, eat in their normal home game places and accept for a 10 minute van ride and being in a different locker room, it will be a home game. Latech, Marsha, Wukyou, and the rest can ***** all they want.

They all should have put in a better bid.

We will still have a decent home court advantage, no matter the time slot.
