To me, it's the beauty of March. Win the conference tournament and you're in, if not then let your resume speak for itself. And unfortunately for us, we have no voice. And this conference won't have additional spots in the NCAA bracket if we don't make some serious changes.

That being said, I cant wait to see us win 3 in 3 again this year at the BJCC.

We weren't mediocre--we were RISING. There IS a difference.

I know it's tough if we win #1 in the regular season, but then lose the tournament that we'd be in the NIT, but that's really not a bad consolation prize.

Having said that, I do believe G5 conferences (and C-USA IS one of those) should get 2 automatic bids instead of one: Regular season champ and tournament champ. If they're one and the same, then that means an at-large bid is available. I also don't understand in what universe it's fair that P5 conferences like the $EC get more than 4 bids. I can see #1 and #2 in each P5 conference regular season and tournament getting in but #3 in either? Come on.

its hard to argue that we were RISING when we lost 4 of the last 7 regular season games. 3 of those 4 losses to RPI's in the 200's, the other in the 300's.

the only way I would be willing to consider the regular season champ getting the auto bid is if every team plays the same conference schedule.
it would suck for one team to have to play UAB twice while another team got to play UTSA twice, and those games enede up deciding the champ

I can speak for all the other guys but yes, La Tech should have gotten the autobid. Was I upset UAB got it, hell no! But like I have said, this isn't about UAB, this is about a process.

I love the current process and think the Ivy League knows in most years it's true champion would have the best opportunity to win a game in NCAA.
For a conference to really be fair they would have to play a home and home game with all teams. That would be 26 games in CUSA. Only 14 in 8 team Ivy.
