I see the trolling, and will end my input with this.

Frankly, the fans will come regardless of opponent. We don't have to drop cash to get em out.

So what if we don't draw 4k more because we scheduled Bowling Green vs UNC? Is there a trophy for that? We have a much better chance to win that game, and go to a better bowl with another W. That's the end goal isn't it?

Just my lone opinion and I see the other side just fine. I just don't get get enamored with UNC or excuse me... Vandy coming to our place.

I can get why some would, but I don't.

But the thing is, you're NOT going to go to a better bowl for beating Bowling Green than beating UNC or Vanderbilt....and those MAC games are going to give you zero chance of ever reaching the access bowl. Your logic just really makes no sense.

how so? If we are talking H&H games here, if we have our 1 or 2 money games a year with our home game one year being bowling green, we can still get an access bowl bid.

2016 is a perfect example. Ole Miss, WMU, and GT on the road. If we Lose to ole miss but then win out from there, we will be in consideration for the new years bowl. You don't have to get p5's at home to get to the access bowl.

Houston's biggest name at home this past season was Vandy. If that team would have instead been WKU or Marshall, and Houston won, it would not have changed them getting into the access bowl. Plain and simple.

*shakes head*

How many ranked teams in conference did Houston play? How many ranked teams in the Sunbelt is Georgia Southern going to play? That gives you basically ZERO wins over any ranked teams even if you do beat GT, which you won't. Therefore no, you would not be in the access bowl conversation. And, a 2 loss AAC/MWC would get in before you even in that situation. In that scenario you literally have no chance to get inside the top 15.

Hypothetically, looking at this coming up season, gt could be ranked top 25 by the time we play them. You never know. But beating them would give us 1 top 25 win and that is all you need to get to the New Year's Day bowl. Of course winning the rest of your game except for maybe one early in the season.

You guys had the opportunity to beat them, but if Tech plays 4 quarters that day it is 60-24. And they will play 4 quarters this time around. You can bet that.

After Second Half Collapse, Georgia Tech Beats Georgia Southern

Quote:the sleepwalking Yellow Jackets nearly lost in a most discouraging manner

Quote:“You’ve got to play a full game,” safety Jamal Golden said. “You can’t play a half. You’ve got to play 60 minutes. If you only play 30 minutes, then the other 30 minutes can bite you, and then you’ll be 3-1 instead of 4-0.”

Quote:“We weren’t focused second half,” linebacker Quayshawn Nealy said. “They came out ready to go; we came out slacking. And it showed.”

Good thing we were able to teach them the game is 4 quarters long. I thought those tech guys were supposed to be smart?

Unfortunately no you can't find out. That game was already played. Everything is different from years ago. It's all about playing a team at the right time to beat them, a la Florida.....and well Georgia too but you screwed up on that opportunity, a shame really.

Yes, that's implied. It's not the same game.

Which was the whole point of my comment in the first place. Do you think I'm implying time travel?

You tried to connect the two. Back to the thread topic, how about UNC and Vanderbilt. Nice pickups.
