MyBB Breach of Contract
So what would happen if we tried to use the University's failure to meet contractual obligations with the FedEx Forum as a for-cause reason to fire Pastner? Wouldn't one contract directly causing another to fail make it applicable?

Just thinking out loud here. It is obvious I am no lawyer, but correlation has to exist in the law somewhere.

What would happen is that we would pay a legal team to tell us we owe him 10.6 million

Don't worry about not being a lawyer. Apparently there weren't any involved in the writing and approval of this contract anyway.

Yes, that's obvious.

Huh?

Wait...I get it now

YOU ARE A LAWYER

I don't know how you do it....working all those 14 hour days that really good lawyers do (read: regarding a practice discipline that actually means something) AND sacrificing your non work time being a moderator here.....you are to be commended

Without looking at either of the contracts I would say that they don't relate. There may be a clause in a contract demanding performance but the chances aren't good. I think I see where you are trying to go, but I don't think anything is there.

In any case, the problem with the basketball program isn't a legal one.

Sure there was. Taking care of Pastner with blissful ignorance of administration.
