If Daniel's shot is off because of injury, rest him until it's healed and give Greg the minutes in the meantime. If we have any hope in making a run in the CAAT, Daniel needs to be on and further aggravating his wrist won't allow him to get there.

I completely agree with this. He's not doing us any favors by bricking his shot and, frankly, he's too talented for that. Let him rest and come back 100% for the tourney

Towson and Delaware were both very good teams that year, so I fail to see the comparison

The comparison is that getting swept by the top teams in the regular season doesn't mean we don't bother in the tournament.

Absolutely. All of that goes out the window at the tournament. Last year UNCW swept NU in the regular season and then lost to them in the tournament. There is even more top to bottom parity in the league this year than last year. Every single game has the chance for excitement. Hard to even look at one game for anyone and think about an automatic win.

Definitely. I wouldn't favor us against Hofstra and Towson in Baltimore but it's silly to think we have no shot against them. All it takes is an off night or a spectacular effort on our end.

Or particularly tight refs. I think both our recent games with Towson and Hofstra were called loosely. We got away with some too, but I think we're better equipped to handle a tightly called game.

RE: Transfer U - Game 2
Many have forgotten, or temporarily misplaced, the terrific team basketball our guys have played for most of the season.

I watched Maryland and Butler get walloped at home yesterday by double-diget, one-sided
scores and look awful. Or read VCU or Richmond's boards before yesterday's wins---both teams
had lost two in a row, including losses to awful teams....you would have thought their world had ended.

Friends, the season is not over. We have too many good players not to bounce back.

Let's start Thursday by ending UNCW's eleven-game win streak.

RE: Transfer U - Game 2
I agree BT2. We have not played anyone this year we couldn't beat including UVA. The biggest problem I see is that we take a lot of threes and when we're on we have a chance to make big runs of 10 or more points quickly. When we're off the same is true the other way around. We've had more games this year where we've been up or down by 15 at one point with the score not resembling that amount at the end. The only time we've really been beaten badly is by Hofstra at Hofstra. Even yesterday we were down by two mid way through the second half.

Honestly I think our best bet against our opponents is to run and shoot rather than slow the game down. We just need to get teams to run with us.

Towson thrives on loosely called games. Plays into their advantage of paint mugging.

Well, looks like CG will finally get to see his CHawks' live in person. I fully expect him to don an embarrassingly tragic UNCW yellow outfit. I'm picturing a neon SeaChicken amidst the pallid boredom of green and gold.

RE: Transfer U - Game 2
W&M's defensive rankings from Ken Pomeroy in the CAA under Shaver:

2004- 10 of 10
2005- 8 of 10
2006- 9 of 12
2007- 7 of 12
2008- 8 of 12
2009- 7 of 12
2010- 7 of 12
2011- 10 of 12
2012- 11 of 12
2013- 11 of 11
2014- 8 of 9
2015- 10 of 10
2016- 8 of 10

Just for fun, here's the defensive ranking of the team that won the CAA tourney those years:

2004- 3 of 10 (VCU)
2005- 1 of 10 (ODU)
2006- 3 of 12 (UNCW)
2007- 4 of 12 (VCU)
2008- 3 of 12 (GMU)
2009- 2 of 12 (VCU)
2010- 1 of 12 (ODU)
2011- 2 of 12 (ODU)
2012- 1 of 12 (VCU)
2013- 1 of 11 (JMU)
2014- 5 of 9 (Delaware)
2015- 2 of 10 (Northeastern)

Offensive basketball is fun to watch. I like fun basketball. The evidence seems to suggest it isn't going to win anything. At some point Shaver's going to have to get serious about the defensive aspect of basketball.

It's gonna be a good time. Been waiting for this all year and it couldn't be a more perfect clash.

Seahawks!!!!!
