We struggle to stop anybody inside. But a win is a win and we still have a shot at a top 6 position. Have to root against Charleston the rest of the season.

I think the ultimate goal for NU message boards is to grow DiehardDogs. There are a lot of great people there and inside information you can't get anywhere else.

I think this site is pretty cool though in a sense that you can interact with other fans, similar to USCHO for hockey.

With this site being free, I see it as an opportunity to attract people (particularly students) who might not pay to sign up for DHD. The content is not available to non-members, and many college students are cheap. I contend that a large group of students fall into this category based on my experience as a student, but I could be wrong, since it doesn't seem like anyone here represents NU other than geewiz and I.

DHD has a discount for students.

I think it's $14 a year. Very affordable.

The information and community at DHD is well worth the $14 or whatever it is for students. But many student fans will find the website, not know much about it, see they have to fill out credit card/paypal info, and just can't be bothered. Do not underestimate the college student's laziness and avoidance of paying money for anything other than food/drinks. As a student subscriber, I had a few friends who even after my recommendation of DHD, decided they didn't want to pay. These were friends who would go to all the hockey/basketball games and post on USCHO which is free.

No of course not. And you would be crazy to do so.

I don't think there will be many people from DHD to post here. This is really a place to interact with other fans, not get inside info or talk to other diehard NU fans. Maybe there might be a few who think it's neat. And I agree, DHD is not worth it at all for a non-NU fan to join.

It would be nice to create a small group of NU fans here to interact with everyone else. Hopefully this site can attract some students as well.

Are they all worried the "inside info" will leak to your opponents? We just post what we have. Not too concerned who sees it. If you can get some activity, a Google search of "NU message board" may send some traffic this way...
