It's just almost not fun anymore. They have exceeded my expectations for stupidity and failure to the point it's becoming sad.

It's really not that fun anymore for me, to be honest. The fun part was seeing that phony POS Hugh Freeze get what he deserved.

Ole Miss bet on the wrong horse, so they will pay the price.

Absolutely agree. My enjoyment level equally mirrors their arrogance level.

They are arrogant and stupid, corrupt and sanctimonious, provincial but consider themselves sophisticated. In short, a complete culture of buffoonery lacking self awareness.

I agree with both of you, Shere Khan and Alsonso. Started the Trifecta thread last week.

But Ole Miss helped us out a lot in the early days. Gave us home games with a then Top 5 team when our program was nothing compared to them.

And Ole Miss continued to schedule us when UT did all it could to keep us off their schedule. Took the threat of gov't action to get them to commit to play 2 games every 4 years.

Which is why I hate UT more than Ole Miss. In some ways, Ole Miss is now kind of an underdog, like us. Freeze was a religious hypricrite, phony POS, and I'm glad he has been outed, but I kind of hope Ole Miss doesn't get hit too bad.

Oh there's ambivalence on my part, too, Tigx.

The vast majority of my mother's families (out and out and out) are Ole Miss. I spent many Saturdays down there as a kid. Didn't care for them then, even less now, and that always pissed off my mother but she had to learn the hard way that fandom is earned.

Well...maybe not all...but some of their fans deserved better.

But I can't help but question the very idea of Humanity itself, when an example of how far humans will stoop is made public.

I was beginning to think they might not get hammered the way that I was kinda hoping they would.... then the burner phone surfaced. What's worse, it surfaced during the NCAA questioning.

I think it will actually be worse than most here think.

I'm hearing a rumor that it won't be announced until after the Egg Bowl because they want to keep the hostility down to a minimum.

well, you're right about that. you cheated, you got caught, you will pay the consequences.

Won't argue that. Shouldn't have been so sloppy. Everybody does it...you just can't be sloppy or defiant. Seems like OM was both ...

But it's still a witch hunt. If the NCAA spent 5 years anywhere they could come up with just as much if not more than what they have on OM.

Yeah yeah I know, mom.

Now, go away.

It's ok, I'm sure you will be able to root for a few of your team's players when you watch the Tigers next season.
