Sean McDermott Article
Great article where Sean talks about how W&M molded him into the coach he is today.

RE: Sean McDermott Article
I know we've had this discussion before, but of all the great W&M QB's, if I had to pick one, I'm picking Shawn.

RE: Sean McDermott Article
McDermott's D did it's job yesterday. Look at the 5 scores by Denver yesterday

FG - 10 plays 64 yards for a FG
TD - 0 plays (fumble recovery for a TD)
FG - 4 plays -1 yard for a FG (set up by a 61 yard punt return)
FG - 7 plays 64 yards for a FG
TD (2 point conversion)- 3 plays 4 yards for a TD (set up by a Cam fumble recovered at the 4 yard line

Defense was really responsible for giving up only 6 points. Add on 2 more if you want to blame them for the 2 point conversion as well but the D did its job in maybe the ugliest Super Bowl I have seen in years from both teams' perspective.

I agree about the "ugly" part for sure. It was a battle between two Defensive Units with the Ds responsible for most of the scoring for both teams with too many mistakes made by the Carolina Offensive units being the tipping point.

That game was a thing of beauty if you appreciate great defenses!

RE: Sean McDermott Article
Great defense but a lot of poor execution on offense for both teams and not all of it was because of defense - Cam's first pass was horrendous to a wide open WR and he never settled down (both due to Bronco's D and just bad playing) mixed with some WR drops which did not help him out either.

RE: Sean McDermott Article
Game was so disappointing. I moved here in the summer of 1997 and adopted the Panthers as my NFL team. Really painful to watch. My wife went to bed at 7:30 last night, I should have joined her.

ON the positive side, I guess the coaching staff is coming back intact.

I still have a W&M program from McDermott's senior season with him on the cover. I just need to get him to sign it some day.
