You can't play zone against a great shooter like Lee where he gets a chance to step into his shot. Playing man to man is the best way to try and stop a great shooter like Raven.
Actually Lucky, I think that only you and I continued thinking that Raven is a top 5 player in the MAC. Several others bailed on him and ONE had the audacity to say "he was done." He was done! Whoever wrote that should be banned from talking about EMU basketball or basketball in general. 07-coffee3

Right and you and Lucky think Raven is a NBA prospect when he gets benched for not hustling and playing up to his potential. Of course the rest of us are wrong for pointing that out to you.
Now don't put words in my mouth. I said that Raven would play professionally in Europe and make more money than Murphy.

He will not - If you want, we can put money on it. No one in Europe will pay big bucks someone who is a headcase and a player with a minimal basketball IQ.
European teams only take big men and can only have 2 per team and no they don't make nearly as much as Murphy. 07-coffee3

Dude, there are guys in Europe that have over million dollar salaries. Ray Lee's salary will be in the fast food worker's range somewhere in Easter Europe or lower tier leagues in Germany, France etc.

People on here think that you get paid for being American in Europe.

I heard Raven is well versed in Chinese language so he'll start out at 1 million dollars (same salary as supers) and have all of the won ton soup he could possibly want: http://www.ask.com/sports-active-lifesty...20190d4bfd

This would be about 5 times Murphy's salary....now wouldn't that be poetic justice!!!!

Really? You and Luckey are the only ones? I have been supporting him as anybody, so I know that is an exaggeration. This is the second Ray Lee thread I started this year.

Ray Lee is almost certainly not a future NBA player. But he is good enough to command a look/evaluation from NBA teams or scouts.

He will play pro, d-league at chump change or overseas where he will be readonsbly well paid. No where near a million. But also no where near the pittance pay lesser players get. (I.e. Jamal Harris is playing in Europe- I assume at low wages. Ray Lee will NOT be at this level)

I've always meant to ask about the Anne Marie Gilbert picture. What's the story behind choosing that pic?

Back to this convo though. I will go on record as saying that Ray has NBA talent/athletic ability. If he puts it all together consistently, I won't be at all surprised to see him play in the league.

Ray could make an NBA team.

Yes, Rvan Lee speaks Mandarin Chinese. Rumor on the street is he might go play in China after EMU and become a millionaire

I can't stand all the negativity about Lee on this forum. How many of his critics can speak a second language? Heck, some don't even have a hold on the English language. Yet, they have the nerve to call Lee a "head case".

He seems like a good kid and a great basketball player. He just brought some much needed and valuable national attention to the school and program. I am proud and grateful he is associated to my alma mater. STOP DOGGING THIS KID!

I hope he can use chopsticks better than he can play defense. Old Chinese proverb the bigger a man's head the smaller his paycheck

This forum is known for its mind-numbing threads.

This one is a classic...

Geez, yesterday was national signing day in college football and this thread goes on forever... 05-deadhorse

The man scored 46 mother***ing points in his last game in less than 30 minutes. Let that sink in for a minute. You are still going to dog Raven Lee? You have just put yourself in the rarified air of stupidity that only EMUSuperfail inhabits. What are you thinking? His defense has NEVER been bad, he plays great defense actually. Do you understand the game? Maybe you and super-F should just stick to watching the ladies. I cannot tolerate ignorance! 03-banghead

right last year he gets benched for not being into it for 2 games and then gets suspended for six this year apparently dedication and hard work and teamwork don't matter to him and these facts apparently get in the way of your fan boy vision

RE: Ray Lee Makes Sports center
Listen guys, I think Ray is a very good NCAA player, very inconsistent but nonetheless a very good basketball player. Skill wise is he good enough to play in the NBA ? Probably not. Skilled enough to play on high level in Europe ? Hmmm, probably but is he disciplined enough to fit in a strict systems that European teams use ? I don't think so.

Back in high school I knew guys that put up 30+ numerous times during the season and guess what - some of them had a hard time being picked up by DIII schools. Being a good NCAA player doesn't translate into being a good pro either.

So to sum up, yes Ray had a great game, but the NBA talk needs to stop.

Guys, Lee has immense potential and if he taps that potential he'll be successful.

If not...

Next season this thread will be more relevant. Today it is premature because we don't know what Raven Lee we'll see next year (unless somewhere here has a really good crystal ball).
