Im not so sure of that. We certainly have a lot of options, but we have 1 stud WR and a bunch of question marks. DuHart has at times been a real threat and at other times been unable to catch the ball. England, Little, Fulgham, Harper, Hayes are all still unknown. Fulgham is the only big, strong guy other than Pascal and DuHart.
(This is assuming Vaughn plays TE/HB
is there any reason Vaughn won't be ready to go? just curious. what about the other TE that got hurt (can't remember his name).

Obviously some TIC/humor mixed in here, but truth is , I really don't see any way to make a cogent projection at this time. We should have a few more clues after spring training, but as I mentioned in a post some time ago, I don't think we will know who our starter is until September. Still looks that way to me.
Like Cr8n, I think SB showed a lot of progress toward the end of the season, and I think it is he who will likely earn the starter's role this season.
I'm not sure of Verhaegh's status due to his injury. I recall some speculation that it was a fairly severe injury which may hamper his qb ability.
I still think DW is most valuable at the WR position, though he could once again play lots of qb.
As for the newcomers; I think Arnold will probably RS, and the kid from NC looks intriguing.
Last year we desperately needed a punter who could help us win the battle for field position. It looks as though Bailey Cate could very well be our man. A 43 yard punt avg. is pretty solid, and his punts seem to have really good hang time.
I watched the hudl video provided and in it he did not take one single snap at qb, and I would like to see that. It is possible that he could be both punter and qb, TH did plenty of that, but I believe it was more out of necessity than anything else.
Look at the junior year highlights. Not sure what happened between his junior and senior years, but as a junior he showed a lot of ability and potential as a QB.

Its always a question mark off an injury, but I would assume Vaughn and Swann would be in the mix and playing TE/H-Back.

Duhart, Pascal, Fulgham, Patterson, England (on the edge), and Hayes are all FBS bodies.
We may see some improvement on the catching front as the comfort level between the QB, WR, and WRs coach improves.
What is your thought on Patterson? I really think this kid is going to be a force.
Vaughn as the main TE is a question to me as well, as I guess it depends on where Swann is in his development.

After going 5-7 Wilder still has a lot of faith in Bentley, so I say he will start. If SB crashes again, we could very well see LaRussa. He wants to play and I think he should have been the one playing based off what I saw at the Spring game.
In 2016, we will learn who our coaching staff really is... There are no more excuses about having a young team.

I agree that Bentley is probably the choice now but that record??? DW started in some of those wins so I'm not sure that 5-7 is something wilder is looking into.
DW will be the starting quarterback if his knee is healthy. He is the one that creates excitement and confidence among the rest of the offense. He is a leader.

This. I don't understand how folks think DW is more valuable at WR, when our offense was significantly better when he played qb. If he was more valuable at WR wouldn't that mean our offense was better when he played wide receiver? I don't recall that being the case.

Washington scored a TD in the first game and injured himself on the play. Because of that and then the concussion, he was never full strength at WR this year.
It is a tough choice. DW looked good for the most part at WR, but it was against bad competition. So it's a difficult task for the coaching staff to decide what they think is the best move for not only DW, but for the team. If there is a QB on the roster anywhere as close to him, there should be no question about putting him at WR.

Either way, DW gets a 10/10 on the respect meter. Kid puts his well-being on the line for the team.
