UAB's basketball history is impressive especially for a mid to high major program.. However, any UAB fan who trashes another football program for winning a bowl game is laughable when UAB has been to 1 bowl game.. And LOST

Yeah. Maybe you guys can end your 3 decade NCAA drought sometime in the next 5 years. Look in all honesty that's great that you guys have a great recruting class. I have no issues with Marshall football, basketball, or their fans. It just seems awfully petty to make a thread propping up your recruting class while at the same time knocking ours just because you're butthurt about your basketball team getting beat. Get over it.

I didn't mean to post a thread that meant we were winning the recruiting race, more along the lines of we "won" in a general sense since we got some great recruit commits. I'm happy for all CUSA programs on signing day. The only thing that sucks is losing out a player to a "power" (lol) conf school.

That's not why I made the thread. It was a silver lining reason not a "smack". I don't need to beat around the bush to talk smack. I come right out and say it point blank.

I don't want to speak for our entire fanbase but I think we're all kind of over the "you don't have football" thing at this point. Yeah it sucks we lost 2 years of football but we're getting it back and when it returns it will be better and healthier than its ever been so we're good with it. What's disappointing is that you guys know the circumstances behind us losing our football team and you know we were royally screwed. Knock our lack of football success all you want but save the lazy and ignorant you don't have football insults for the morons in Tuscaloosa.

in no way does it make up for the pain of how it went down, but fwiw, I would agree with you how things are currently playing out....

it's quite the testament to your boosters, fans, and the overall value of 'what is right is right'....

UAB has 42 freaking commitments. Which means UAB has to a waiver from the NCAA. Even if you over sign a class you can't go over 28 in a class anymore.

No way you can count this class against other and even if you want to then Marshall, Southern Miss, MTSU, LA Tech and FAU have higher rated classes per recruit:

Marshall: 80.55
LA Tech: 80.39
USM: 80.19
FAU: 80.09
MTSU: 80.00
UAB: 78.33

This site clearly shows UAB with the best recruiting class this year. Why are you making up some type of Marshall recruiting guidelines to base these rankings????

UAB will be about on Charlottes level when it comes back. I mean congrats on getting a team back, but you will be the 5th best team in Alabama for a year or two.

What are "Charlottes"? Are those like flowers or something?

Ok... If you think that Birmingham Junior College (not a shot at education, just the recruiting class) is going to compete in 2017 or 2018, and probably even 2019-2021 you are delusional.

You really don't have anything to base that on because there has never been a recruiting situation like the one UAB is currently experiencing. Don't be mad bruh.
