Timing
Interesting that SMU has not played a game since losing to Temple. This makes the 3rd road game this season where the Tigers goes against a team which had just lost a game to Temple.

EVERYONE of our road conference games the other team had just lost prior to playing us. The UCF game they also had just lost a game but it was to Tulsa. AND WE WON. Just pointing out and interesting tidbit in our scheduling.

And doing it in yet another thread. You know you are allowed to put all of these nonsensical Pastner defenses into one thread, right?

Personally, I wanted to see the Tigers beat an undefeated SMU just to shut some fools up.

Now you'll just say the the Mustangs were overrated to begin with.

RE: Timing
To start the season our schedule consisted of 12 consecutive HOME games and we
smoked most of the buys but lost 3 conference teams (UConn/Cincy/ECU). These were games we needed to win Period! In conference as the OP says. Have not defeated a single top conference team plus OK & SCU.

Let’s see what tomorrow brings with @SMU.

Why is it that pointing out an anomaly in our conference schedules breaks down into a blast the coach thread. There are 11 teams in the AAC and for some reason we seem to play an abnormally high number of road games right after another specific team plays that same team.

Freud would have a heyday with you bluecrew since this thread has nothing to do with coaching what so ever. Seeing no one at the school has anything to do with conference scheduling. Did you hate your father and do you have an Oedipus complex?

To be fair most teams in the AAC are losing a lot so the chances of playing somebody that just lost is pretty good. SMU is the exception

Yep. Would like to see a W. 76-62, SMOO. We will get close enough to pull it out, then panic sets in. Larry will win on free throws.

IMO SMU is not overrated, and if the Tigers do win then it will be a huge victory regardless of how anyone feels about the coach. I hope we win, but I'm certainly not holding my breath.

Let's not get carried away. We played Tuesday and they played Sunday. It's not like we are coming off a Thursday night game

The agenda here is obvious from Josh's two head sheep. All we need now are Smith and 87 to weigh in

Weighing in. Again, you're clueless. What part of me saying "Pastner needs to go", do you not understand?

Hahahaha wow. That is a fail even by your standards. I can't stress this enough- i dgaf WHAT you say, it's the fact that you feel that every inane thought that pops into your empty head needs a separate thread. All of which designed to make excuses on why the Tigers are losing. We get it. There are literally 5 other threads right now where you could have put this wonderful insight of yours.

Yep. Who's the fool?

Some people cannot stand being wrong and this guy fits the bill.

Suppose we had defeated SMU or suppose we beat them next time.

All it would mean is that we upset them. Not that we are the better team or that we're having a better season. Not that we've turned the corner for this season or that we're building anything for next season because we're really not.

At 13-8 and no quality wins if we pick off one or two top 50 teams it'll be fun for that game but as of right now we're in a scramble just trying to qualify for the Not Invited Tournsment. The only path through to the real tournament is to win the AAC tournament. That's a real long shot and not likely to happen.

In looking at last year, this year, and next year; I don't see anything that leads me to believe we'll be back in the NCAA tournament even as a low seed any time in the near future.
