We got ours in the mail two weeks ago. I called the ticket office and ordered ours the day after Martin Luther King's birthday.

Thanks for the Priceline info. For work I use Hotels.com, because I hae to know where i will be, but used Priceline for the first time to book for the tourney.
Got the Renaissance for $100, plus all the taxes and fees.
As regards my comments on North Charleston. I didn't want anyone to think I was discouraging folks from attending the tourney next year. I just think that the league making a decision based on guarantee is short sighted. The SoCon did this a few times putting the tourney in Chattanooga, and it was a mistake.

Charleston SC would be a much greater draw than Chattanooga, at least IMHO.

So I have never used Priceline or any other similar company to purchase a room before so I am clearly a novice here. But given that I know that my wife and I will be in Baltimore for a minimum of Friday and Saturday night guaranteed, it makes sense to be willing to commit to being out of pocket for three nights up front when the cost is not much more than what I would have paid if I reserved a room for three nights in a traditional way at a much higher rate and then only ended up staying and paying for two nights.
I could use some advice from you veterans, however. How much did you guys bid for your rooms? When you make a bid, does Priceline at least let you know what hotels it will choose from if your bid is accepted so that you can up your bid if you want to have a better population of hotels to choose from?
Any guidance will be greatly appreciated.

You pick the neighborhood, Inner Harbor, and you pick the number of stars for the hotel. It will tell you which hotels fit in that category for that neighborhood. I did the 4 star hotels and then bid $100. I am staying for 4 nights, Friday through Monday nights. I'll just stay for the whole thing win or lose since I am fling to Baltimore. Once I book the plane, I in for the duration anyway.

wmmii and I just booked rooms for $79/night, including parking and breakfast at the Hotel RL on a special rate that started today. The hotel just opened in August and is a remodeled office building. Looks pretty good. These rates won't last long.

Count me in. I bid $95/night, taxes and fees were about $60.

Something that I dont think has been brought up about this move could be very good for student attendance. The tourney this year corresponds with the first weekend of WM's spring break. This might not happen every year, but Charleston is on the way to points south and you might be more able to entice a few students to stop at the tourney on their way. Much more exciting than spring break in Baltimore...

Do more kids go home to DC for spring break or go south?

The ones who would go to the game are the ones who go south.

Hey Tribe ... I went to the CAA site and the cheapest all-sessions pass I found was ... $175. Surely I made a mistake and/or some very easy savings code that I did not enter?
I recall in 2013 in Richmond, it was just $65. Unfortunately, the junke in me will save my money and go instead to the Big South's ... only $45 for the whole thing.
See you all Thursday --- can't believe Tarpey's time is almost done!

Don't know if they are still taking orders but the Tribe ticket office was selling ticket books for $100.

Thanks to both of you. I do have to note that the Big South's tournament price of less than $50 (and Buies Creek, NC being much cheaper than Baltimore) has almost made my decision for me before I learned that the price could be beaten. I think next year in Charleston has a lot to offer and that's what I think I'll aim for.
I will confess that I really really miss it not being in Richmond. For all the criticism of it granting VCU a home tournament, it would truly be a centrally located neutral site now. But I don't know if they (Richmond) even made a qualifying bid?
