No. A bad team beat another bad team (with a worse RPI than ECU) through upbeat tempo play and very lucky shooting.
Pastner doesn't have good coaching days and bad coaching days. That isn't how ignorance and incompetence in a craft works. Every single game i've seen showcase his ineptitude. All you have to do is throw away the blue colored glasses just for a little while and take a fresh, clean look at reality.
If the Tigers were to beat the Golden State Warriors you would find a reason to *****. No idea where you get this bad team beating another bad team **** from. A week ago they were the #1 and 2 seeds for the post season tournament.
Never heard of RPI?
Just for the record, I was perfectly content with this win. A ray of sunshine through the dismal clouds. I choose to not stand idly by while those with an agenda use a win against a bad team (remember...RPI) as an arguing point to keep a terrible coach employed at Memphis.
Our players deserve better than that. Our fans do. Those of us who donate deserve better than Pastner. The more veiled expletives you hurl my way the more they bolster what I say. So, in a way, thank you.

The board has devolved into arguments about when each person knew Pastner needed to be replaced, with people claiming they knew it in year 2 or 3 mostly pissing on people who decided in year 4 or greater, plus those few remaining believers.
Until people on both sides let this go, this board will continue to be no fun. Nothing about Pastner is going to be decided on this board anyway.
It's not going to end until HE is gone. It is what it is. There is only one person to blame and that's Josh Pastner. I'd suggest anyone who has an issue with this take a break from this board until May. Just friendly advice
Won't end then, they will just find something else whine about, whiners always whine.
and then there are those who whine about the whining.........

I've noticed a strong correlation between making shots (especially 3's) and winning basketball games. ECU, for example, hit a lot of 3's against us Saturday.

Leaving guys wide open usually makes it easier for teams to make 3s
