Post #89 "BMS needs to be willing to take a loss on it'". Do you read your posts?

Again you say that BMS will lose money.

You don't have any idea of how much it costs to host the game or the break even point. Your just rambling.

Thank you Jerry Caldwell and staff for supporting ETSU and the Tri-Cities area.

Thank you Dr. Noland and Dr. Sander for continuing to improve ETSU athletics and keeping the Bucs on the front page and sports pages of all the area newspapers, on radio shows and TV news and sports shows.

ETSU and the Bucs have been on the area media an unbelievable amount of times with tremendous announcements since these two men took over and the good news just keeps on coming. Well done ETSU staff.

Go Bucs

Wait.. you are switching horses mid stream?

You said ..
Quote:rod - Please watch 'Inside The Dome'. Dr. Sander gave info on the benefits of playing at BMS. He completely refuted your posts concerning the monetary problems that ETSU would endure.

Looks like the Lemming shoe is on your foot.

I am going to keep Bolding BMS so you can tell the difference between it and ETSU.
First you accuse me of saying ETSU was going to lose money and tell me to listen to Dr. Sander say we weren't. Since I didn't say that it didn't refute anything I said. Sander didn't say anything about what BMS might make. But if you think BMS could come close to breaking even doing the following just for an FCS game, well no point in talking to you.

Quote:Getting a motor speedway ready for college football won’t involve just laying some lines over the turf in the infield. First, crews will need to do a complete scrub-down of all things NASCAR following an August race (you can’t have pro sports dirtying up college football!). In a process that typically stretches months, crews will pressure wash the entire stadium, clean all the suites, and install a complete turf field, in just eight days.

Bristol plans to haul in 8,500 tons of rock in 400 truckloads to build the base of the field.

Read that again, think of the man hours that is going to take no to mention materials, they are going to make bank on the UT vs VT game, ETSU game is a footnote, they might not lose money based on where the bean counters charge things but they sure wouldn't make money without the big game.

So are you talking about ETSU or BMS? you keep switching, I will stand by my statement based on the above information.

I got my email from BMS about my UT tickets. At least when ETSU plays, I'll be sitting closer to the field. As it is, for UT I'll be in Section C of the Rusty Wallace grandstands which are the very tip top ring around the Bristol side of the track.

You can't be any farther away unless you were parked at the Bass Pro Shop.

What are you planning to do during the game? Or, are you taking a portable TV with you in order to see the game?
