If you recall Monken's 1st year at USM they were ready to run him out of town mid-season.

& it got ugly. Maybe not quite as ugly as Ellis, but ugly.

Wondering if that is part of the reason why he is skipping town.

Would you stay in that town? I'd make a lateral move at worst to get the hell out of there.

I would guess that Watts and the BoT would be happy if Clark left. Gives them control again. Threatening to leave a job your boss doesn't want you to have isn't much leverage.

I can't blame Monken for going to the pros. Once you have some success as an NFL coach you tend to recycle there. That's a pretty good place to be.

Zac left to work for a man he trusted, to come to what was suppose to be a stable job, in building up a program that he was a part of.

That's like if you had a decent job but someone you trusted asked you to help build up a job where you started your career. Then once you got there the current administration closed your office. Then they reopen it back up with the same administration (same boss and managers you bumped heads with).

Would you go back and move your family a third time (happy wife happy life)?
Stick it out at your present job. Where your previous boss up and left leaving you in limbo again, but wait and see what the new boss will do.

That's why I said pull off the homer glasses and be objective. As much as I bump heads with Memphis, I can pride him on looking at both sides and not homering out on an argument. I also said I would love for him to come back but I don't see it.

USM promised a quick resolution of the replacement FBHC position. Zac will probably wait to see how that works out before trying to move again. "Once burned (12/2/14), twice cautious"

I figure Zac stays there for now and sees who gets hired and if he gets an offer to stay. I'm sure he has spoken to Clark and knows what the situation here is.

How did this rumor even originate. Theres people on the CUSA main board that seem certain it happened.
