Dignity and class
Donald Trump
You're being funny mentioning them in the same sentence, right????
He's very classy. Have you seen his homes? All clad in gold. Very classy.

Frankly, I can't tell.

RE: Donald Trump must be stopped
I loved the USFL. My ex and I ran the gameday stat crew for the Houston Gamblers. We were doing a lot with sports in those days, so we put together kind of an all-star team of people we worked with. We didn't get paid all we were owed, but we had a blast. They get down to the end of their first year, and they were very close to setting a bunch of records. Don't remember who they were playing, but they were up by about 30 or 40 in the fourth quarter. We were in the booth next to the Gamblers' coaches, and Mouse leans around the wall and asks how many yards so and so needs to set some record. We tell him and they throw it to the guy and he gets the record. Then it's another question about another record for another guy, and we answer that. We had a drive where the stat crew was basically calling the plays. Berman is doing the game on ESPN, and he is in the booth on the opposite side (walls between the booths in the Astrodome were clear glass). Berman sees us doing this, so he leans around and says, "That looks like fun, can I do it?" So now we have Berman calling plays. It was truly a bizarre situation.

RE: Donald Trump must be stopped
I didn't read their stuff. But here's my take on Trump:
He's socially liberal
He's economically moderate to liberal
He's somebody who's more narcissistic than Obama
He would be an embarrassment to the country
He's rude and won't be able to work with anyone
He shoots from the hip and doesn't think
He has no solutions, only rhetoric
He has an immigration approach damaging to the economy
He actually liked Nancy Pelosi
The last is enough to disqualify him and raise serious doubts about his judgement.
[/quote]
Bingo!
He may know real estate but he's of the same genre as obama, he also won't know how to run a country.
I also believe he would be dangerous to the country as "his" greatest virtue is not a virtue at all and it's called narcissism.
Vote Cruz at least he's smart and not just a businessman.

See my posts #65 and 69 on the "Bernie has a 28 point lead" thread. That's how to do it. I don't think that's Trump's approach, and I'm sure as hell that it's not Bernie's, but that's a way that would get it done.

The latter. Another reason why I left the Republican party 8 years ago.
However...I am not a Trump supporter either.
this is where I whiffed him coming out of the gate.....I just thought he was screwin' with them....I didn't think even his ego was this big....
someone that really 'wants' to be prez at this point???.....they're just a dipshite in my book....all one has ever had to do was look at the before/after portraits (or the ones that got shot)
Hillary's already lived in the White House 8 years. I don't think she could survive another 8 years of WH aging.
No she's been buying aborted babies from planned parenthood for years and turning them into a youth serum. She'll be fine.

That's not the only thing a President Trump will destroy, and that's why he scares me. He could set our international relations back decades if he stays on his current trajectory.

The whole Republican party seems too far right for me to even consider, though I'm not sure what Trump actually thinks. And Kasich might have some sensible, centrist ideas. Sanders is way too far left even for me. It's getting difficult.

I remember that too.
At this point the more interesting prospect is Hillary getting the nomination and then being prosecuted for a handful of felonies. Obama could hold her in jail where she couldn't campaign. What would happen to the election?
This is my favorite conspiracy scenario.

Republicans are too far right for me on social issues, and democrats are too far left of me on fiscal issues, and both have been for some time. Anybody who talks seriously about massive income redistribution is asking for even greater capital flight than we have now. Anybody who talks seriously about repealing Roe v. Wade and gay marriage is simply delusional. I won't consider either one.
That doesn't leave much. If stuck with one or the other, I'd prefer the fool who wants to turn back the clock on abortion and gay marriage, because those things don't affect me personally. But if that fool does like GWB and fails to fight the socialists/communists on income redistribution, then I won't support him either.

He's built a $10 billion company. Cruz has no business experience and is a cheap politician. Same as we have now.

I think it's more because the democrat alternatives are a socialist (Hillary) and a communist (Bernie).
Actually, I'd like to see the republicans run someone who is not a hard-core social conservative. But I want a fiscal conservative. I'm still afraid that Trump is more social conservative than fiscal conservative. But he's still better than any democrat.
