David Cohn already a great fan favorite!

Our guys were ready to play.

Who is Hunter Burchfield?

The love child of Seacat and Connor?

Joking aside, I read that Burchfield leads the country in 3pt fg% at 59.5%.

It's okay to be one dimensional if you're incredibly good at that one dimension.

Actually, he is not "one dimensional", he is just super good at that [3pt] particular dimension.

I never thought that I would live long enough to experience the kind of product that we have put on the floor the past 3 years.I have not had to drink any regular season Kool Aid in a long time. I already have some packed for Baltimore.

By the way, with the exception of one short period when Connor (aka Hunter) and Daniel were on the floor at the same time, we basically got 38 points out pf one position tonight.

David Cohn might just be the final magical missing piece to our puzzle.

Actually, he is not "one dimensional", he is just super good at that [3pt] particular dimension.

He grabs 1.6 rebounds/game, contributes less than half an assist/game, allows 104.5 points/100 possessions (that's not good). He's pretty darn one dimensional but when you shoot 3s like he does none of his other weaknesses matter that much. His job on this team is to rain down fire on anyone who plays zone against W&M.

He doesn't have to do anything else. Any team in the country would love to slide a 60% 3pt shooter into their line-up.

Hence why I said it's okay to be one dimensional when you're that good at it. There are lots of guys in the NBA who've had one skill (3 point shooting, rebounding, etc.) and rode that to a solid career.

Here we go again, nit-pick a word until the original topic is dead and buried. I say he's 3-dimensional since he is, indeed, a living organism.

How are you defining organism?

Still would like to see the defense ratchet up a notch, but I'm sold that we'll be a contender in Baltimore. Time to start looking at flights.

Very well played, Tribal. Scored like a Hunter Burchfield 3-pointer.

But you need to look at Glover on the bench after a Burchfield 3 at 4:30

That play happened right in front of me, but I did not realize it was a behind-the-back pass by David - I thought it was magic that the ball suddenly appeared in Connor's hands - I mean, the ball came out of nowhere.

Got to figure a way to get that play on a Sports Center Highlight!!

RE: Elon Game
I'm growing more and more impressed with Jack Whitman's play. Of note is his offensive play at the 2:15 mark, where he receives the ball at the high post and takes his man to the hole. In Shaver's normal offense, the center comes to the top of the key to catch a pass, sends the ball in the opposite direction, and then sets a screen and sees if both defenders will bite, which frees him to go the hole for a give-and-go. It has been a while since we've had a center who can take the initial pass and then square up and drive the lane. Whitman did that last night, and if he's got the green light for this in the future, it adds another dimension to our offense, which will be interesting over the next two years assuming he becomes the starter.

He was showing off in front of the student section. That'll bring em back for next week.

I too am pleased with Whitman's improvement. He used to seem out of place with the games speed and physicality. He would get pushed around under the hoop. He seems much more comfortable now which has allowed him to relax and use his polished offensive skill set.

RE: Elon Game
The center position may be showing the most improvement from last year with Sheldon, Whitman and Seacat all showing well. Hope they continue to show as much improvement going forward as they have so far. Add this to the new Cohn dimension and things are looking very good with the SG's & SF's are continuing their high level of play. GO TRIBE!

The goatee added some polish, too.

I saw on Facebook that over 1200 students were at last night's game. That's a crazy good student section.

There is a new atmosphere at Kaplan. I had a fellow come up to me last night, introduce himself, shake my hand, and tell me that he just wanted to let me know that he enjoyed my passion as a fan. I thanked him and told him it would be nice if he put in a good word for me with security.
