RE: CUSA Week 4 Predictions
It'd be really nice if MTSU and Marshall both dropped a game this week. If Marshall wins both games then we have a legitimate 3 team race for the conference title.

For selfish reasons I want to see Marshall win their next 3. I'll be making the trip up to Huntington for the first time next Saturday.
The Marshall/ODU game is going to be really interesting. Over a 20 point difference between Marshall's PPG and ODU's PA.

Doesn't really matter. Unless UAB runs the table its all gonna come down to the CUSA tourney.

Yeah, but we all want to win the CUSA regular season - for bragging rights and a guaranteed NIT spot.

Have to win the regular season. Need the NIT security blanket in case things go awry in the CUSA tournament.

No doubt. Didn't mean to imply otherwise...

With this team, there would be no satisfaction with going to the NIT.

I would have satisfaction with NIT, only CBI and CIT tourney I do not want. We would have a good chance to make a good NIT run this year. I would take a NIT Final Four over a NCAA Round of 64 only any day.

It would be a let down, but not a total disaster. This team has made a big time turn around from those early season losses. Our schedule screwed us royally, and we didn't help our cause by losing to three of the only decent teams we will play all year.
After seeing us last week, I believe we are a NCAA tournament caliber team. If we keep improving, and make it in, we could win a game or two.

Big Dance and no wins is better than NIT championship.
That being said, I will follow this exciting team under any scenario.

Teams are still saying UAB only won it last season b/c it was on our "home" court.

people keep saying this, and its true. but it would help to have a few good teams. if the other top teams lose to the bottoms teams, it just makes it look like the whole conference is awful, top to bottom.
if we can win the conference outright (and then the tournament) but have a couple teams that beat everybody EXCEPT us, at least it looks like we beat a couple of good teams along the way.
that could make the difference between being a 12 seed or a 13 seed, which is huge. i really want us to win a tight race...not run away with it, bc that likely means the 2nd place team has losses to crappy teams

I can kind of see your logic, but I would be a lot more comfortable if we just ran away with the regular season. If we don't win the tourney, we aren't going to get in no matter what the other teams in our conference do. So, why not win it easily and not sweat out the outcome? If we were going to be on the bubble, I'd definitely agree with you.
